ABOUT ROCKY PATEL
Rocky Patel is one of the most recognized names in the cigar industry. After being introduced to cigars by a friend, Rocky became fascinated by them. Approached with an investment opportunity to manufacture cigars, Rocky was a bit apprehensive but ended up investing and in 1996 Indian Tabac Cigar Co was born. The cigars were an instant hit, a combination of bold bright packaging and fuller blends.
In 2003, Rocky decided to change the name of the company to Rocky Patel Premium Cigars. That was the first step in changing the company’s marketing strategies by emphasizing branding himself. The first brand featuring his name, the Rocky Patel Vintage, has since become the company’s flagship brand. Rocky Patel Premium Cigar brands have earned numerous 90+ ratings, culminating in their highest rated cigar the Sun Grown Maduro which was Cigar Aficionado’s #2 cigar of 2016 with a 95 rating.
