1,000 Days of Work

In 2017, Jon Huber of Crowned Heads began sampling blends from Eradio Pichardo. Eradio is co-owner of ACE Prime Cigar, and the factory Tabacalera Pichardo. Those samples began a three-year-long journey of blending, tweaking, and re-blending. The result of that effort – Mil Dias. Pay attention to this one — it may just be the finest cigar Crowned Heads has created in years.

Mil Dias contains a four-country cocktail of tobacco. First up are the fillers from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Peru. These leaves are cloaked under a Nicaraguan binder and an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf. Smoking the Mil Dias, you’ll find a cigar that increases in intensity and flavor as it goes. Black pepper and woodiness come in at the beginning, with creaminess and a woodsy base emerging around halfway through. If their first collaboration is anything to go off, Mil Dias is the start of a beautiful collaboration between two masters of their craft.
