The Olmec is the latest release from Foundation Cigars. Foundation Cigars founder Nick Melillo’s inspiration to create the cigar came after a tobacco buying trip to the San Andreas region of Mexico. The Olmecs pre-date the Aztec and Mayans and were one of the most influential societies in the Americas. They were also one of the first to cultivate and consume tobacco, from the same area where San Andres wrapper leaf grown.

The Olmec Claro features a tan Mexican San Andres wrapper over premium Nicaraguan binder and filler from Jalapa and Esteli. The filler leaves go through a special bale-aging process for 3 years prior to rolling that creates a unique flavor profile.
