ABOUT ROMEO Y JULIETA

Romeo y Julieta Cigars were established in 1875 by Inocencio Alverez and Manin Garcia. The name pays homage to Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. As the brand grew more successful it won numerous accolades and awards. Sir Winston Churchill called the brand his favorite in 1946, Romeo y Julieta crafted a cigar in his honor. The cigars were made in Havana Cuba until the 1962 Cuban trade embargo. Now the brand has factories located in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras.

The company has held true to their Cuban heritage and each cigar is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, quality, and top-notch construction. The Romeo y Julieta 1875 is probably their most popular blend, featuring an Indonesian wrapper over Dominican binder and filler. The Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real features an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder, with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. There are some of the finest cigars in the world and should have a home in your humidor.
