Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante Red is the second release in Altadis U.S.A.’s ultra premium Doble Diamante series, created with Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernandez. Rolled at Fernandez’s main factory in Estelí, it features a small batch Nicaraguan wrapper, an extra fermented Nicaraguan binder and fillers sourced from Finca La Lilia and San Lotano. Much of the tobacco comes from first and second harvests that were aged and fermented for years, giving the cigar a medium full profile with real depth. The blend is rich and complex, showing soft spice, cocoa and leather. Production is limited to 5,000 cigars, presented in 250 piano finished humidors of 20, each priced at 150 dollars.

Inspired by the rarity of a red diamond, this edition continues the concept introduced by the original Doble Diamante, one of the most prestigious Montecristo releases to date. Nodal describes the project as a pursuit of perfection within the 1935 Anniversary line, built from exceptional tobaccos selected from Fernandez’s personal reserves to deliver richness, balance and elegance.
